Irene Klestova

Irene Klestova (Nee Tchistovski) (1908-1989) left Russia during the Bolsherik revolution, she received some of the highest awards for art in Leningrad.

She lived in Italy for over 20 years before moving to Paris in the 1950′s. She exhibited regularly at the Salon d’ Hiber and the Salon des Artistes Independents.

She is renowned for her reputation as being one of the finest painters of roses, and justifies the many honours she received during her lifetime.
